Annabelle, Thanks!  What a great creative idea, the tree.  I can imagine the looks on your students faces when they are presented with a length of electrical wire..lol.  But what a great project!  I really like this!

Thanks again, all.....  I just realized I did not respond to the request for a close up of the Tree....The best I could do is take closeups of some of the elements on the tree....I don't think I can get any closer to the tree itself and still be in focus....I am not much of a photographer.  That piece is in a gallery right now, and I won't have it back until mid-October, so can try to photograph it again, then...

Well....I have been out of town for a little while, and had forgotten about the close up of the tree....Does anyone have any suggestions for doing a close up of it?  All I can think of is doing several close ups of parts of the tree....

Hi Annabelle:)

Are you able to take your tree outside? If so, pick a slightly overcast day to take the photo rather than a bright sunny day to reduce the glare and try doing several zoom-up shots of it from different angles.

Do you have a digital camera? Perhaps you have a macro feature built in. This enables you to take super close-ups. Your manual will tell you what set-ups your camera comes with.

Another idea would be to place your tree either against a white wall or on a white sheet. Position the sheet in such a way so that the bottom and backdrop is totally white. The idea is to attract as much light as possible to the subject piece.

Nice work by the way:) How big is your tree?

Beautiful  Annabelle!   The tree is beautifully different - but I'm a sucker for a dragon anyday!   Like the concept of the mirror frame.
And really - forget the housework - anyone can do house work - not everyone can create something that makes the world a prettier place!
Now off to the broom closet for me.....

Thanks for the suggestion, Nancy... and Beth...glad you like my stuff.....I will see what I can do to photograph the tree again....I have a little (allegedly idiot proof) digital camera....I hate using it, cause I can't seem to hold it steady enough....
