Ok yall' I am seeing such awesome and thoughtful gifts made / sent and posted and every idea I like or think to make I change my mind on. This is very tough when you don't know alot about the person.....I need help because I want my gift to be just as awesome as what everyone else is sending / receiving. Can't we all just post something little about ourselves or likes and dislikes even if it's just a color......

Now,now Mal...you've created some BEAUTIFUL glass!  You need to take a deep breath and just decide on one of those ideas you've discarded and pay no attention to what's been given so far!
I'm sure that you'll come up with something special, whether it's tailored to the individual you're giving it to or not.
I just know that the recipient will love it because it's from a friend!
How about something themed for where you're living?

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

I agree!  The goal is to have fun and whether or not it's tailored to the person receiving the gift it will be appreciated as a gift of friendship and tell the receiver something about the artist creating it!  Go for it, girl!  You do wonderful work!

Relax and take a deep breath *in* and *out*. Now, your quilts are gorgeous, butterfly is beautiful and your stars are fab! You've got a great nack for picking out some fantastic glass so just go with that, walk into your glass room and just pick one piece that YOU love and don't worry about the rest because in the end you do great work and that what is appreciated on the other end :).

Sheesh, give yourself a break! You do great work!
From what I gathered from the original idea of the glass exchange is that we all enjoy seeing other people's work. Whether it be their eye for glass choices, nice design, skill or enthusiasm for the art of glass. I think you've got them all, and whatever you make is going to be appreciated! If you feel that your gift is going to someone who's more experienced, just keep in mind that the person at one time had the same experience that you have.
You'll do great! Who doesn't love a gift?

You have done some great pieces.  Whatever you make will be great and apprecieated by the recipient.

One way to gleem some info about the individual that you are making for is to look at the past posts that the person had put up.  Sometimes you can find some info, like favorite colors and types of designs, from those posts.

If not, then just make what you want.  It will be apprecieated either way.

I agree with what everyone has said already.  You do fantastic work. This is the next thing we will be saying about the idea you come up with

Everything I have seen of yours is great, and I believe anyone would be thrilled to have any of your work. I felt just like you do, but I had to pick something and go with it. It will work out fine. Get going on it!
