The solder has really enhanced this piece. I know she will love it. I want to hear a report of the way she reacts.

Thanks Audrey.  I use black and while it is still wet, I put copper over it.  Love the bronzed affect it gives.  Will post her reponse, I'll try to remember to take a picture of her with it

Nice Joan!  Wow you finished that one quickly!  Jenna is going to just adore this!  I'll bet she'll take very good care of it!  Any swimmer would love this pattern!

Thanks De.

Thanks Barbara and Linde

Was planning on give her the panel today, but she decided not to do what her mother told her to and now she is grounded for 3 weeks, so I didn't think it was a good idea to give her a present after getting into hot water.
Silly girl, guess she thought she could get away with telling tall stories and ignoring what her mother told her to do.  LOL

Ooooooooops! Reminds me of way back when - when Star Wars first hit the theaters - my son blew it big time - went over to a friends house after we told him not to and then he had to stay at the baby sitters while Mom and Dad went to the movies - he was not a happy camper to say the least.

Well it's good to know that she's a normal kid...lol...if they don't try it at least once, you have ot wonder what kind of stuff they're made of..lol

Yes, grammie, I think you made the right choice..but it's gonna be hard to wait 3 wks..or it would be if it were me.

Very good decision. My daughter was in hot water more than she was out of it. Unfortunately we never had a good relationship because of it.

Thanks Nancy.

Just finished it.  Will be giving it to her tomorrow.

Not to put too fine a point on it, Joan, but where the hell did half an arm go??
I really like the lines of the pattern. It looks good, but to me it doesn't make sense. That truncated arm throws me some. If thats the hand that you put in the water, because you didn't like the look of it,  how was that accomplished without putting the swimmer on her back??

Am I being picky??

Graham, I knew you would pick up on that one, if you ever looked at it again.

The entire panel was constructed and being soldered and I said "Oh s**t no, I couldn't have", but of course, I did.  Brought it up in chat one night asked everyone if they saw something wrong with it, no one did, and so far, no one who has seen it displayed can guess what is wrong.

I think it is because it is so straight forward a picture, that no one sits and studies it.  Heck we will just say it is a water ballet movement LOL

It's just everyone being considerate. They didn't want to bring notice on the recent amputation of your grand-daughter's arm  Lips sealed. De even went out of her way to note that she's "normal". I'm not quite so well mannered Glass of Beer
