This piece was completed this past Monday by a student of mine.  She's been working diligently on this for awhile.  She was very pleased with the way it turned out in the end.  She doesn't think that she's very good at SG...but I beg to differ with her.

Just thought everyone would enjoy looking at it..I really liked how it looked!

I thought she did a great job picking the glass for this.  She wanted it to be very natural looking and I think that she hit the mark.  She's a great gal..have tried to get her to join in on AOG..but unfortunately she hates the computer. LOL

She did a great job for a first piece De, obviously you're a good teacher.  Kudos to both of you.

Well, actually this is maybe her 6th project she's done..and all of them have been good sized panels..well she's made some smallish things for Xmas gifts for people.  I've just never posted any of her work here.
She did a sort of unique round "owl" piece that was a rubbing from a copper pot that she bought at an auction that came out rather well.  That one I believe is posted on my blog.
Her first piece was about 16 x 25, an Iris, since she's an Iris lover and belongs to the local Iris society.  She's also a suberb gardener.  But try to tell her that.  LOL

Thanks, she'll be delighted by your comments!  De

Well gonna try this again.  The site froze up 3 times already.

De she did a wonderful job on this panel.  The design really addresses all the possible detail.  Love the textures used as well.

Looks fantastic De! She really did a nice job of that!

Too bad she has a computer phobia....she's missing out on some good info, tips and ideas, not to mention the laughs and friendships. Then again, if we did not like the computer, we would not be here either...I'm glad we do!

Oops Yvonne, I totally forgot to mention where the pattern came from...and I don't happen to have it here, but it's an Aanraku book called Official State Flowers..1 I think.  She just loved the pine cone pattern.  The only modifications we made were the borders she added.

I wish I could talk her into joining us here..I KNOW that she'd enjoy it and everyone would enjoy her..she's a fun person!  But she won't even use email...lol.  She did sit with me and listened to Vic's talk and enjoyed that very much..so maybe I can get her to participate on occasion, when something special is happening.

I'll keep twisting her arm..lol

P.S...she really thought that Kev's idea for hanging hooks in the back were pretty spiffy!
