Thanks Joan. I'm not really excited about this piece yet...maybe once I see it up to the light I'll feel different.

Are you nuts!!!???? It's drop dead gorgeous!

Kev, with all this fighting over it, I am willing to let you send it to me for protection.  I wont even charge you that much for my security services for it. police  A small monthly stipend will be more than satisfactory.

Very nice medallion Kev! Love the fused center idea as well.
Did you wind up using the Hammock Sling idea?

I see that the hanging points are at 10:00 & 2:00 positions. Did you solder 2 or more metals rings inside the came channel to act as wire guides?
Did you use brass H came around the outside? I think I remember you mentioning that you have a came bender.

Very nice:)

Hi Nancy,

All I did was used 16ga. copper wire for the sling set in the H came groove and then closed the leaves on the outside using my foil burnishing roller..worked great! I soldered the wire at the 10 and 2 points. It hangs perfectly, and the wire is not going anywhere.

It looks like lead h came to me.  Looks good Kev.  An old piece I repaired for one of my sons friends, that had been done by her mother years ago when she had a co-owned studio in CT was finished like this also.  I'd be careful with how you handle the edge as hers had been bent in several places around the outside..I tried to flatten it out..but once it's bent..well not the easiest job.

And if you need to send that piece away to hang..remember my Irish/Scottish heritage..I'd truly appreciate this piece!  LOL  If you forgot my address please let me know. tee hee.
