My first floral plate

Well I have started on a make over for my glass room.  To start with it looks more like a junk room, but everything in it is all glass related.  There is nothing on the floor, its just cement with old streaks of carpet glue.  So first a few pics of the crappy way it looked before I started, and then will follow with some pics of how it is progressing.

If anyone has any suggestions on what I am doing wrong, please let me know right away so I can change it before it becomes somewhat permanent.

Thanks for looking.

Well after cleaning out all the "stuff", here is how it is coming along.  Bare room to new floor tiles I laid yesterday.

Good job with the floor Tom!

Don't forget to put casters on your work table so you can move it around as needed.

Not very big at all Joan, its an extra bedroom that is small.  10' X 8'.  Would like about twice that space.

Tom, ask kev to show his shop, that is the size he has.  don't forget when you don't have floor space, use the walls for storage

Same size room that I'm using too, works great *smiles*! Unlike Kev though instead of having a portable table I screwed everything to the wall with 2x4 *lol.  I'll take a couple pics, although you'll have to excuse the mess ;). I used an old wood door for my table, it's screwed to the wall and secured to a work bench. Also the hubby made me a set up with a light, legs, maxi morton board thing and that's attached to my table to make it an L shaped extension for working on.

Cool Tom!  Looks like you've got a good start going there!  And Joan's right, use the walls to their maximum.  I used pegboard in many areas of my shop and love the stuff!  Wish I had more.  You'd have to screw some 1" strapping to the wall first then put the pegboard on that!

Can't wait to see how you load it up!

Finally some progress.  Has been tough the last several days, with everything thats been going on here, but it is starting to move forward at least a little.

First will be a couple pics of the garage, and you will see why I cant use it for a work space.  The only reason there is a big open spot in the center is I just pulled out the riding mower to mow the lawn.

Then will be a couple pics of some of the lumber I have been working with.

And now for a few pics of what is done (or almost done) so far.

First > working on a peg board.

Second > my buddy Tim working on one of my work benches

Third > the work bench and peg board. This is where the bench will be, and the peg board hanging above it.  That will be done tomorrow.

Hopefully my shelves will get done tomorrow if the weather doesnt turn bad.  We are in a weather watch area right now.

Hey, right on Tom!  Looking good!  The new countertop and cabinets look like they'll come in handy and there pretty too!  Pegboard ALWAYS is a good idea..I've got tools hanging from pegboard on one side of the shop and wish I had made it larger.  So having lots of space to hang items comes in handy big time!

You must feel good about the progress so far!

Hope you're feeling better btw!

I see that it appears that we suffer from the same disease - Pack-Ratitus

Good start on the bench and peg board area.
