I had this blue glass that I'd fallen in love with and it was just to pretty to cut up into too many pieces and I also didn't think it was right to use it for an abstract work so I sketched up some cherry blossoms. It's not very big, about 12" by 10", working with the foot sqr size of blue didn't let me go as big as I would have liked *L. I think I've fallen in love with this one though, it's got such a nice feeling! I'll be submitting this one into a shop in time for the 'Culture Crawl' in town.

Amber, I love the blossoms. I think that I have the same blue glass. Dose it look like it has sparkles in it from tiny bubbles in the glass. Cut real nice and it lovely to work with. Can't show it to you yet as it's a surprise for the recipient

It's so pretty, and of course the photo never shows the glow from the glass but it's mouthwatering pretty and I'll order it again in a heartbeat! It's a from kokomo, one of the opulume (s?).

What a great way to use a "special" piece of glass. I love the simplicity of the piece.

There is something to be said for simplicity. You don't get lost in the design, but rather enjoy the simplistic beauty of the whole.

You're right! That really is a pretty one! You've mentioned in the past how it is hard for you to move out of your comfort zone of abstract into something more realistic... just gotta say that it doesn't show!

Thanks! I'm trying to open up and try different things, it's definitely more challenging though *lol! I started with one that I just added to my gallery, Evening Cloudscape, which I did a bout 6 weeks ago but only now am I starting to like it *L..... this one though I loved through all the steps and didn't hesitate to take pictures of *smiles*.

It's so simple yet so beautiful! What glass have you used for the trunk?

It was all Kokomo, the trunk was 172 in granite, but Spectrum has one that is the spitting image of it, 411-15G which looks really light on their site but it's really dark.
