Ok, mister, you want to talk firing failure?? Here's a pic of the last weave bowl I did. I usually slump my weaves into the mold but this time decided to drape it. Like I mentioned in your koi thread it split like a cheap pair o' pants!! Kinda looks like it's saying "FEED ME"!!!!!

It may not be a bowl, but it is an interesting piece of art. If you didn't tell anyone it was by accident, no one would know.

Actually I have plans to cut it apart, flatten it and use the pieces on other projects. Nothing goes to waste!

I also love the weave, love the colors too, blue is a favorite of mine! I sure hope it tells you what it wants to be real soon! Can't wait to see! Sometimes accidents are happy mistakes that occur on purpose, we just don't know it at the time.

It looks to me that you fired too fast on the drape. It often is more difficult to drape than slump. The glass has a spot/area where it rests that the mould drains the heat from the glass. The glass that is suspended is much warmer and the centre breaks. This means that you have to go much slower in heating up than you do with a slump.
