Before you all freak out on me this has been done for MONTHS and I didn't know how to do meitered corners for the frame so it sat around in a "to be finished" pile. Well last night I pulled out the chop saw to frame the Star of David so I went ahead and made the frame properly for this one. This morning I patinated and polished it though it could use a bit more polishing.
DH really loves this panel, I think I might make it again minus the current mistakes lol.....

I am a big sunflower fan, and this one really does it for me. I have been hesitant to tackle sunflowers because of all the weird points fitting the background around the petals, but I will give it a try.

Sunflowers are just so bright and cheerful don't ya think?  They are so bad to do Audrey.  I made one not too long ago.  Never did get a picture of it, a friend of mine saw it and fell in love with it..so she purchased it and off it went.  I'm going to have to ask her to take a pic of it and send it to me.  I kind of miss it now..which means I'd better make another!  I used a piece of Armstrong, sort of a yellow/Orange streaky for the petals and a brown bubbled textured glass (don't even recall the mfg of that one) for the center.  It turned out very nicely.  But it was just one sunflower in the center of a circular panel.

This is very nice Mal!  Is this one a keeper, I'm sure that DH won't be disappointed if it is.  BTW I didn't see any mistakes?  Looks great!

Malinda, I love this panel.  Very cheery.  My yard doesn't get enough late summer sun to grow them so a panel would be the closet I would ever get, or unless someone buys me cut ones LOL

Oh Malinda, it is wonderful!  I, too, love sunflowers, and think that you did a marvelous job!  Yes, definitely a keeper!
