Well today was a productive day in cutting out the glass for this project. It starts with a clear sheet of glass cut to the finished size. This is the base all the other glass will be fused to. The blue is not quite the color you see...it's specrtum 96 Aqua. The Koi is Urborous. Only the blossoms to be cut and the bubbles to be made. The bubbles will be made by fusing 3 layers of clear glass so they form nuggets, then they will be fused onto the surface. As far as the blossoms go, I'm still undecided as to the process I will take with them. Once everything is fused, painted detail will be added.

This is going to be magnificent. I also read the other day (in Glass Craftsman) that we could put antibacterial cream on the marker lines - the antibacterial cream is water resistant and the marks won't disolve even with prolonged exposure to grinder or saw water.

That's going to be nice when it is done.  I'm glad that you don't have to foil some of those cuts.

I'm confused....how did you cut some of that background glass? I mean you have holes in the center of the glass and I don't see a cutline going to the outside???
This is going to be great!!!

I really like this, does it need a good home?

Can't wait to see the rest of the process.

What, you don't like Sushi or Sashimi, especially living near some of the freshest fish in the world?
