I read some of the help section, but I did not find info on locked topics. Why are some topics locked and you can not post a reply. What is the purpose?

Hi Deb,

A topic is usually locked when it is presented as a statement in which it is meant to stand on it's own without replies. It's a way of keeping the information clear and concise. If you have a question in regards to anything locked, you can start a new topic and ask your question either in the same section as you found the locked topic, or in the question/suggestion area. You can also pm a moderator or administrator. We are more than happy to assist you.
