everyone is talking about doing the stars like Malinda and I thought it would be cool if we posted them all in one thread as we get them done; lets try to leave this thread as just the pics.

The camera caught a Vermilion cast rather than the Crimson that the glass has.

Here is my version I did not patina it yet. I had some bad issues with the soldering gun as well. I have to go back and fix it before I patina.

After seeing the comments on the colors, I decided to bring in and give it another couple of shots - these photos show truer colors. First one is with flash - shows off the iridized glass, second one - natural light.

I had to go back and look at all the pictures here again and figured I'd add my latest to this thread also.

Here's a 22" star I just finished in clears. I found the 3" center piece in a second hand shop that i inserted as is rather than flatten it in the kiln. Fun star idea:)

This is the latest star I made, it was a Christmas present from an old high school friend of mine to her sister. Sue had run into me at a craft fair and saw the blue/pink star I'd made and asked if I could produce one in her sister's favorite colors. She delivered it to her today and sent me a copy of the email she received back from her sister after they'd hung in in their entryway..it was cute..she thanked Sue about 14 times. I guess they liked it.
It was supposed to be representative of Sunrise or Sunset.

This isn't a great pic..my son isn't very used to holding glass up for me..but oh well. I'm sure that they'll send me another pic of it during daylight hours.
