I tried my new blossoms mold yesturday along with some leaves that I tried with a different frit mix.  They turned out well but the leaves were a bit too light for the flowers and the center of my flowers (Anne, please see tip below!) disappeared!  Anyway...I have a piece that I started last month that has darker leaves and never slumped so I'm thinking I'll add the flowers to it.  What do you think?

Tip...When doing flower centers pay attention to which frit jar you're grabbing off the shelf.  Yellow trans will disappear when fused with red trans!!  DUH!  rolleyes

Becki, now that's something I would have done, thanks for the reminder!  It would be in keeping with some of the other dumb glass things I've done recently.  Oh well, we do learn from this right?

Yes, I think the darker leaves will probably look better with it.  Do some pink blossoms and you can use the lighter leaves with them.

Ok can you enamel on the centre and refire? If you put them back in the mold to refire they aren't going anywhere right?

I thought about enamels but I don't have any!  I'll have to tack fuse these onto the amber piece so if I can get some soon I'll try it.  I'm still thinking of alternatives!!

I agree...pastel leaves need pastel flowers! Don't know what I was thinking!  rolleyes

tack fuse!  right!  haven't gotten to that point with my molds yet.  Becki, if you're tack fusing what about using beads on it.  I've tack fused beads lots  - or frit?? Do you have any yellow opal frit?

I meant to use yellow opal in the beginning!  The problem with adding it when I tack is that the center is now raised so it won't stay where it needs to be!  I'll think of something!

Thanks for your input, everyone!
