I agree, with you, Kev.  The white opal was not the right glass.  But it looks pretty good overall.  And you learned something.

I think Amber is right Kev, it just didn't come out as the picture you had in your mind.  It really did turn out well though, you're your own worst critic.

I'm with you on the opal though, I also prefer the translucency on something I'm wanting natural light shining through.

It is very cool, don't scrap it - frame it and sell it if it's not what you want to give your Mom and make another one!

Well I really like it Kev..it is rather "impressionist" I feel..and I don't consider it ugly at all.  You know if you don't try you don't learn..and that's makes it worth the effort, additionally you achieved a pretty interesting project out of it..so no worries.

Interesting..I enjoy when you post your "experimental" projects here.  I don't have a kiln and it may be awhile before I have one but I'm still learning some valuable insights from your posts and the resulting comments.  Keep up the good work!

It does have an impressionistic look to it, and I love impressionistic art..but this one...not so sure about it.

No Way Kev - it IS a thing of beauty - get over it - otherwise,  just send it to me
