Di, as we discussed earlier today I played with wire again to give you another idea for wire wheat.

Gather these goodies first:

A cordless drill
A cuphook
16 gauge (or 14 if you prefer) tinned wire
20 gauge tinned wire

Then:
(Pic1)tighten your cuphook into the drill.
(Pic 2)Take your 16 gauge wire - I used about a foot - and double it, hooking the two ends over a door handle (or whatever you have that will hold it), put your cuphook on the other end and twist your wire.  I do it fairly tightly.
(Pic 3) this is what it will look like twisted.
(Pic 4) I doubled it again and twisted with the drill

Sorry guys, these pics didn't come in in the order I wanted but I'm sure you get the drift!

(Pic 5) Cut about 1 yard of 20 gauge wire. You want to use that much wire because you'll have two uses for it. Twist that like you did the other piece.
(Pic 6)  This is what they look like twisted.
(Pic 7) Cut about 12 " off the 20 gauge piece for a stem, take the other piece and wrap it around a (I used a small paint brush). After I had that done I pulled it off the paint brush and wrapped it around the piece of twisted 16 gauge wire.  I did that to give a little more 'body' to this piece - this is your wheat. If you used 14 gauge wire you might not need to do this - I didn't have any!!
(Pic 8) I just put a blob of solder on one end of the 16 gauge piece to cover up the sharp ends and soldered the twisted 20 gauge wire onto the other end.

Sorry, I messed up the order on these pics too, but again you're all smart enough to figure it out.

Voila, done.

If you have any questions on this tutorial please post them in the wire tutorial question thread.
