I tried Kev's coaster idea with a different firing schedule to see how level we could keep the center elements. I was also going to flip it and see if I could get the texture on the suface but had one of Kev's "duh" moments  laugh and put dots on the outer edge so that idea is out for now! 

What do you think, Kev?

I like it! I also like how the colored pieces retained their shape better..that might work quite well. What temp did you go up to?

I took it up to 1325 and held for 10 minutes.  You have to make sure your edges are really even because it's only a tack fuse but I think it works!  It seems to be pretty level!

No, I only did the one to try out the idea and the firing schedule.  I'm leaving the sets up to Kev!
