Yet another fan lamp...

I somehow managed to lose a week somewhere; this is for a silent auction at my daughter's school on May 2nd; I thought I had two weeks to get it done until I read an email yesterday saying items were going on display on Monday...

the first pic is of it all cut out and the second is what I managed to finish grinding before going to get Toni at school this afternoon; not bad for about 2 hrs work...

like they say busy people get more done, and when you're on a deadline it's surprising what you can accomplish.  It's looking good Lou Ann.

I've made this once before as well and I actually combined a few of the pieces to make it go quicker...

Got the grinding done and once the tree man leaves I'll start foiling...

After I took the picture I saw the bottom was off kilter so I have fixed the angle on the left to match the right and cleaned up the bottom left corner (there was a bump)...

this is really pretty Lou Ann.  You'll take a pic of it when it's done and behind light so we can see?

I like the white background, makes the bird and flower pop. And I agree with Kev black  patina.

This is now a REPAIR!!!! and unless Rebecca comes to fix it, it may not make it to the fair a week from tomorrow  embarrassed

I was soldering the back side and notice a crack in the white piece above the head and between the wings and flower. I finished soldering that side so the piece was stable enough to handle and then took it apart.

I have the top leaf and that white piece out (had to get the hammer out to break it to get the white one out) and I'm done for tonight -- too tired and frustrated to continue.

Not sure if I'll be able to cut another piece before Tuesday so we'll have to see how it goes.

Oh well, better now than at the auction.
