Trying a dimensional fuse with these, in that the separate pieces retain their shape, fuse to the base glass and have softened edges. The gaps between the colored pieces and the clear border would act to collect condensation from glasses, while the glass remains elevated from it.

No...they are in the smaller kiln now. I have to kilnwash the floor of the kiln, the kiln shelves, and the vermiculite shelf first.

Here they are finished. You can see that some dimension was retained with the edge pieces and the colored pieces. I decided not to flip and refire to texture the dimensional side as I was afraid I would loose too much of the dimension and kind of like the shiny appearance for the colored pieces.

They look great, Kev!  Maybe you should try them at a bit lower temp than a contour fuse.  They'd still have rounded edges and a little more dimension.  Then you could flip and fire at a low temp to get the texture.  Good job!

That was my thought as well Becki. I fired them at 1400 which is the low end of the Spectrum firing schedule for a contour fuse, and pretty much used their schedule. The next time I'll lower the temp and then try a flip  refire.
