all right Kev!!  Boy you don't waste any time - talk about organized.  And the kiln comes Tues - yahoo!!! The wiring and such is all in place for it right, so you'll be ready to fire it up.  Wow, just think of how much you'll be able to 'cook' at once.  Lucky you.  We'll be watching the finally finished thread.  Have fun.

What a great storage idea. That reminds of the wood shop my father had in our basement when I was a little girl. He used jars just like that to hold all the nails, and screws, great way to free up space on the workbench.

me to Linde, I had an instant flash back.  My father even had them on a thing he built that spun around so that he could have bunchs of them in one place, when he got tied of walking back and forth
Great set up

Actually the idea did come for childhood memories of my father having the same thing for nuts and bolts and such in his workshop. Certainly saves space..and that's a real premium for me.

My grandfather too, I remember Nannas' jam jars finding their way to the shed! He was a Master Carpenter and made everything except the kitchen sink, he did make the draining board though!
All you need is a few rope lights and you'll be set for Christmas.

Good use of a system that has been around various work shops for generations. I keep all my nut, bolts, screws etc on the boat in jars. I've switched to plastic peanut butter jars for the boat for safety reasons.
