Hi everyone! I'm new to the art form as well as to the forum so I'll probably be asking all sorts of questions as I go along. Currently I've been working primarily with copper foiling but I am planning to move 3D projects and lead came soon. I'm sure you'll see me posting lots of photos along the way. Other than that, I'm pretty much your typical nerd who is interested in things like comic books, video games, movies, etc so there will probably be a lot of that type of theme in my designs. I have a background in illustration so I am making all of my patterns from scratch because I enjoy the design process so much.

That's about it for now. This looks like a very hospitable place so I look forward to a lot of great discussion.

Welcome Hemisphere, we are happy to have you join the AOG clan. Questions are no problem for us..we don't mind them at all...ask all you want, we all have to learn sometime and somehow. If I or we, can be of any assistance, we are more than willing to assist. We have an awesome membership here...very friendly, helpful, artistic, and with different interests and skill levels...so someone should have the answers your looking for. I look forward to seeing your designs..love that stuff! Once you have 10 post under your belt, you will be able to post pics with your posts...so post away!

Pull up a comfy chair along with your favorite beverage ( or    or whatever you like) and start reading and asking questions.

Yea!!      Another voice!  Goodness knows they're tired enough of hearing mine! I, too, ask alot of "new kid" questions. Everyone here is very good at sharing information, so ask away..

Welcome Hemisphere!  You will notice that there are many of us that have been bitten by the design bug..lol..sometimes to the exclusion of actually creating the designs (speaking personally here..).  Have you found the Glass Eye 2000 site yet...www.dfly.com.  Many of us have this program already and are addicted to it as design software.

We'll look forward to seeing some of your designs and will give you  or  36_1_75 or even an
but you will definitely elicit a response!

Welcome to AOG.

Thank you so much Kev! I'm really happy to find such a hospitable and creative bunch~!

I'll be sure to post some photos as soon as I have managed to get to the 10 post mark. I will be sure to post my concept sketches as well since I like to work with a little moleskin to kind of do a 'rough feel' type image before I try to convert it into a practical pattern. I'm having loads of fun learning everything I can about glass so I will most certainly utilize the talent and experience of everyone here as much as I can :)

A easy way to get to the 10 mark for posts is to jump right in on the different threads, ask a question or post a comment.  Easy peasie.  Lottttttttttttts of fun too.

I'm going to start working on being more active soon. I've been a little distracted with blog remodeling lately so that's kind of sucked away all my online time (and brain power haha!)
