I am ready to foil a panel that is about 18" X 12". I know the border needs reinforcing.I have never used the restrip before. Do I need some every place the horizontal lines of the border meet the vertical lines? How long should I cut the pieces? Do I need to reinforce any of the other straight lines?

I don't see any hinges, and it's not that big of a panel. I doubt reinforcement is needed. Love the pattern by the way.

You don't have any hinges.  I agree with Kev.  Given the size, I think you are OK without any reinforcement on this one.

Darn! See... that's the kind of design fluidity I strive for and never seem to hit the mark. Very very nice!

I only wish I could take credit for it. It is an old Glass Eye pattern.
Thanks everyone, for the advice.

If you feel that some reinforcement might be advisable, consider this to beef up the long straight lines along the border.

If you were doing a much larger version, this is what I'd be recommending.

Thanks Graham. If it weren't done and foiled I would do that, but it seems I can get away without it this time. I will keep the moving of lines in mind for next time I consider reinforcement.

The time to consider reinforcement is when the project is still just on paper. Pencil lines move all over the place with ease. Cut and foiled lines are more of a problem.
