I finially finished this repair.  The top had three out of six broken and one small side white piece.  Not fun but since I had found the white glass that I needed there was no other excuse but to repair it.  I told my husband to not knock it over again because the next step will be the trash.

Yes, I am happy that I finially repaired it.  Not that easy and one of the first projects that I had done when I started with glass.  I saw all the mistakes that I had made and I didn't want the repairs to stand out so I did them the same.  I had it hidden in my glass room for years and wanted to get it out of there so fix it I did.  I am pleased with it and thank you for all the kind words.  Experience!!

I think that EVERYONE should know how to handle repairs.  I teach it..lol...as often as I have a chance.  Recently my Monday night student cracked a piece of glass in a project she's just starting to solder together.  I won't write the words she used when that glass cracked...lets just say that she was hopping mad.

I told her that she should look upon this as an opportunity to learn how not to be scared of taking something apart and putting it back together...and there definitely is a process to it.  She's doing a fine job, even though it wasn't her first choice.

I once let a lamp sit for...oh....10 years or so because I'd soldered one of the panels in completely backwards...I can't believe I did it..and was so disgusted with myself I let it sit in hiding.  By the time I decided to fix that mistake there were a few panels that had been cracked.  But I did feel a great sense of accomplishment when I got it all back together!  And continue to with every repair I've ever done!

But then, I must be odd, I don't mind repairing stuff at all..and it's even brought in a few $$'s.
