This is a cooperative project with Malinda. She is making a panel for her Aunt who wanted a grand piano, so I am painting it for her and she is going to construct the rest of the panel.
Both pics are pre firing with one on the lightbox. I suspect a second matt layer of paint will be required. I used the red transfer paper to outline the design onto the paint. I thought it would leave a red line, but what it did instead was remove the paint, which worked out well also. If that is the case..I wonder if you could use regular wax paper in the same fashion and have it remove the paint as well? I'll have to give it a try and I'll let you know.

Malinda's just peachy, lovely, swell and a number of other adjectives. But isn't "grand" a not so complimentary comment about her size??

It all depends on how you interpret "Grand"..that was not my intended meaning. It was meant as in piano.

Kev - buddy - you are sooooooo my hero - that is awesome!
Everyone else....hold your excitement and anticipations to a minimum please.....I will not do this project justice like any of Kev's completed designs are. I'm getting nervous for my part in this plan now.
My Aunt (actually Great Aunt) is going to love this!
Thank you Kev!

Actually it has more to do with how one interprets "Malinda's" Is it the contraction of "Malinda is" or is it the possessive of "Malinda". Of course I knew what you meant, We really need a "tongue in cheek" smiley.

No! You didn't get it wrong. They both spell the same and have to be sorted out in view of the context. I just chose to play with you. English majors tend to do that reasonably well - but we really screw up math and measurements.
