Hi Deb..Welcome! Glad to have you as part of our family of friends. We opened our doors the end of this past January, so still a new entity on the glass forum scene. How did you find us? glad you did! I as well as the other members look forward to getting to know you and exchanging glass thoughts.

I was actually looking for it. I saw a blurb on another chat site that Kev had opened a new site, but when I found that sight there was a message to go to this new sight... hence my journey!! Anyway, I am here and still addicted to glass. Still short of time to work on anything right now, but when I do, I will post pics..
The weather is getting nice and I will travel soon to Wissmach to forage for glass. I am about one and a half hrs. away from Paden City , West Va.

Welcome Deb. Oooh I'm jealous that you live so close to Wissmach! That would certainly be a fun place to visit in my book. Unfortunately the closes manufacturer to me is PA..Youghiogheny. Which I'd also like to visit at some point. Well never fear, when you have time to work on something, we'll be more than happy to see your accomplishments!
Welcome to AOG, glad you found your way here!
De

It takes me about 2 hrs to go to Yough... a little further. The scrap glass prices are better at Wissmach. They sometimes have full sheets of what they call scrap but are still nice pieces of glass. If a color is not quite right or there is a streak that shouldn't be there, or if a sheet gets broken, it all goes into the scrap bins. I am hoping the price did not go up. It was 90 cents a pound this past fall.
