Very nice job Kev.  Those frames really compliment the pieces without taking away from the art contained within.

When you do get that out again for the holidays it will be just a joy to look at it I would imagine.

Nicely done!  De

Thanks guys...I think I still like black frames better, but that's just my preference...maybe I have a bit of Goth in me...lol.

I happen to like black frames very much myself.  But really look at the Mary & Jesus panel..don't you think that the wood frame makes her hair and halo stand out more?  Bringing the eye to the piece.

Same with your Swift currant.  There's a wooded scene for you...the wooden frame enhances the design..black, I think..might have been not as enhancing.
So I think you made good choices in the framing.

But just my 2 cents...

I have to agree with Deon the frames.I too like the black frames but having the  black in both the stained wood compliment them well.

I think I prefer the wood frame on this piece too.  It really does compliment the piece and bring out the detail.  Nice job Kev

I think they look great in wood! Mary could have been overwhelmed with more black around her. You could always find out by laying a black piece of paper over the frame. If you still want black, paint the frame. But I like it this way.

I did not realize how small she was until I saw your finger in the picture :)
