Finally!!!!     snowangel     The craft room countertops will be installed today. Because I also do some painting (badly) and other stuff, I wanted the most durable surface I could afford, so I settled on stainless steel. Maybe not the best for soldering, but great for anything else. Plus, if I ever need to do some serious canning or fish gutting, I can sterilize the surface and do the messiest work in here. There will be a sink down near the washer/dryer.  I'll post "after" pictures asap.

I'm so excited I could just explode!

Tre,

Just looked at your photos and I love your new workshop!!! Given our housing situation I can only dream about rooms like this...

I can see the shower coming in real handy :-)

Oh Tre, what an awesome room.  And your glass is behind doors, omg I can't imagine being able to be that organized. You worked a long time to get this room, good for you. I can't wait to see what comes from it in the next few years!

We waited a long long time to build this house, and Ed did just about everything himself. The dog wash is great for muddy dog feet or grimy grandchildren, plus it makes the perfect place to hang drippy coats. We have an old dog now (and you know what they say about that!) but any new dogs will be trained to go stand in it on command and not get out until released....hopefully.

I wasn't even thinking about those non-glass uses... Nothing I had more than neutralizing the flux on a large panel in the sink or washing stepping stone molds outside in cold water...

Stainless steel countertops are the best. We had them in my Mom's house and when my son bought it he kept them they we there when we moved in when I was 10 and to this day look great. You wont be sorry.

What I wouldn't do for those windows! I don't have ANY in my glass room.
I know you are disappointed, but Thursday is right around the corner.

I love the light that comes in, but when it hits a piece of glass and reflects onto your cornea...man that can hurt. Not something that I had expected..I'll have to watch the stainless steel for the same effect. That can trigger a migraine in about a half a second!

Yea!!! The tops came today (finally) ... so the glue won't be dry for 24 hours, then Ed has to put the sink and faucet in, but that's ok!!  Check out the clearance between the door and the countertop. I hope the wood doesn't swell!
