I just finished my DIY strip cutter.  The instructions can be purchased at the link below and a short video is available to watch it work.

The instructions cost $15  and about $45 in parts all available from Lowes and Home Depot.  I had to go to both to find all the parts.  I made a few modifications to their instructions but not many and all minor.  I added the metal strips on each end just to protect the ends of the ceiling tile.  It works very well.
