This kaleidoscope is made from a 4oz ceramic shotglass from the Showboat Branson Belle.  The Branson Belle is a tourist attraction owned by Silver Dollar City.  During the season it runs a couple of cruises per day with a music show and a meal.  The vessel is 278 ft long, 78 ft wide, and 112 ft tall.  It has a capacity of 700 passengers.

The kaleidoscope is much smaller, between 5 1/2 and 6 inches long.  It was tough to get good shots of the image because of its size, but I managed to get a few.

wow, how cool is that!!! What a great Idea Jim, very innovative.  Are you taking it to the Showboat to show them?  I would think you could get all kinds of sales from this - obviously they have a tourist shop.  Go for it!

Thanks everyone.  Anne I plan to take it to their gift shop when they open again in March.  That is where I bought the shotglass.  If they order a 1000 I will hire Graham and provide a dental plan, per his instructions!  8^)

I used some copper wire in this one, twisted 20 Ga and 1 20 Ga spiral.  Here is a picture that shows both, the spiral is just outside center and looking at the end of it.

Very nice thinking outside the box Jim!  I have had the pleasure of a spin on the Branson Belle.  Nice little place. I wish I had the choice to purchase your little scope in the gift shop.

WOW! WOW! WOW!  I'm a sucker for kaleidoscopes, and for 'small' things - and kinda re-cycled into the bargain!
