I found this on another site and thought it would be ok to repost here. I know Evelyn had posted here from time to time.
This was posted today by her daughter.

Hello all. I am not sure how often my mom used and/or posted here. I know stained glass was her passion. She worked on it as much as she could, as often as she could. Last night she passed away.

Thank you all for the prayers for her health and healing. She is now with God and no longer in pain.

und this posted on another site and I know she had also posted on here so thought it would be ok to repost this.

Joan, her screen name was Evelyn...just as it shows in the post above yours.
She was a sweet lady.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

It is sad to lose one of the family, not just her own family, but she was part of OUR glass family.  My thoughts and prayers are for her family and friends.  RIP Evelyn.

I believe it's our Evelyn Joan.  Evelyn was the screen name she used.  She'd been suffering from cancer for some time.  So sad, RIP Evelyn.

omg...I am so sorry to hear she has passed. She had such a positive outlook on life...bless her heart! She went through so much, but still managed to be positive.

Rest in peace my friend, and know that you are thought of, and will be dearly missed.

It saddened me to realize that we lost our glassing friend today.  The reason I wasn't sure earlier, was because of the post from Evelyn's screen name saying thank you.  Guess it was my way of hoping it wasn't our dear sweet Evelyn.  RIP dear Friend, you will surely be missed by many.

So sorry to hear this sad news.   As Kev said, Evelyn was always so positive despite her ordeal.  Go well, Evelyn - I'm sure you'll create some beautiful glass where you are now.   Condolences to family and friends.

I am still fairly new here but I do remember Evelyn was the one who purchased a glass rack that I wished I had the room for and I wasn't sure if this was the same Evelyn. So sorry to hear about the loss and my condolences to her family. (and she did have a very positive attitude in spite of her sickness. R.I.P.)

I too, was reading her thread when her glass room was being revamped. She was so excited. So sad to lose her now. I think there must be alot of work for stained glass artists in Heaven. My prayers are with Evelyn and her family.

I'm rather late responding to this thread.  I knew that Evelyn hadn't posted recently on FB and I was missing her responses to things I had posted or seeing her posts letting us know how she was doing.

I agree with Tre..the angels have opened the gates for a very special person indeed.  Evelyn was someone that I certainly would like to take a page from her book.  She never complained and I can honestly say that I don't believe I ever saw a harsh word or criticism toward her fellow humans.

Evelyn will be missed, but I sure hope that she's having the time of her life creating beauty in that lovely studio upstairs.
