I know when I bought these bevels about 5 years ago I had an intended use for them but by the time I got them home I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was. So they sat in the bevel drawer until last week....when they caught my eye I knew right away what I should use them for! These ones have butterflies on them, I also made some with dragonflies on them.  There's those wire curleys again too!! I do seem to be addicted to wire!

Those are very cute Anne, and I, personally, really like the decorative wire accents...adds alot to the prettiness of the projects!

These would be very marketable I would think. I really like them, and especially love the wire work, but also love the shape of the wings....good job!!!!

Love them. Will they hold up outdoors?

They're pretty strong Audrey but I wouldn't put them outside. But then I don't put anything foiled outside - just my own preference.  The wire is soldered onto the bevel in a few spots so the bevel is supported and hung from the wire as well as the nuggets.

There is a pattern for a panel lamp in a book (I don't remember which book) that uses those bevels.  Maybe that's what you bought them for.  But they look great the way you used them.

Those are so pretty! And elegant rather than cutesy (not that there's anything wrong with cutesy)! Love them!

Thanks Rebecca - that is what I'd have bought them for and that would explain the cap and spider sitting on a shelf in the shop.  That is so funny.  Obviously I have that book around here somewhere too! Oh well, I've never had a lot of patience in building lamps and I think I like this use better anyway..........
