What's the next retirement project?
Barbara, I'm hoping for a greenhouse. The summers are so short and wet here and it would be nice to be able to grow tomatoes..

Lol.  We converted a small storage room in our basement and put in lights and ventilation.  You should have seen our neighbours perk up when we referred to our grow room. It's great for starting early tomatoes and garden stuff.

That's the best compliment of all. We build it to look like a craftsman house. You can check out the construction job at my blog

I had not noticed you're reply on this until now and I have to say you have a gorgeous home. Our old house was in a neighborhood on the edge of Baltimore city limits which was comprised of single family homes no newer than 1920 ( most turn of the century or older) and nearly all had stained glass but with 2 kids reaching high school (city schools are terrible) we had to move to a better district and that move was to the rural countryside. I do not like the house that we are in now and we would like something with more character. I love the country, but the kids are gone and it is getting too hard to take care of so much property. Plus! Retirement= Stained Glass+ Antique Cars , not "home work". We still have a couple of years till retirement.

Transoms are a popular thing in Baltimore (as were painted window screens) and this fits in the nostalgic style of your home very well.
