Lovely Jim, your work is great!
I bought a marble recently and aspire to produce something but I think I enjoy just looking at it! There is a stained glass store in Leavenworth that has a great display of 'scopes, worth a visit if you're visiting your family sometime. [phone first]

That is one beautiful piece of glass you've got there! Nice!
Aside from pendant cabs. and small slumping I haven't done much fusing and that glass has me sort of baffled. How did you make that thing?

Assuming you are asking about the body of the kaleidoscope.

I found this piece of glass in a store, I don't know who made it or even where I found it.  I did know it would become a kaleidoscope.  I cut the strips off of one end and using a pattern I made with Glasseye I cut the three body sections.  The pattern was used to make the spiral line up section to section.  I used firing glue to place the spirals in place and contoured fused them.  I watch the peep hole and stop the fuse when the contour is where I want it.  After the normal annealing and cooling process I fire the sections again over pieces of 2 inch stainless steel pipe.  After annealing and cooling they are assembled around a piec of 2 inch pipe using wave foil.

Thanks everyone for the very kind remarks.  8^)
