I downloaded the freeware program called American Bevel Designer 1.1 from http://www.americanbevel.com/downloads.asp . I decided I do not want to keep it around, but its package does not seem to contain an uninstall. Has anyone else either uninstalled this program or is familiar enough with it to tell me what to do? I contacted the company through their feedback link but haven't heard anything from them. The associated Help tells you how to delete the program if your pc is running Windows NT but even my old PC is up to Windows XP at this point. That means the Help isn't very helpful to me. Sue

The operating system I am using is Windows XP Pro with all current fixes applied. The freebie Designer software is really meant for nothing newer than Windows NT. It is an interesting package, especially where you don't have to pay for it, but I can't see myself using it very much. Since my PC is already bogged down, it would be better if I could get rid of American Bevel Designer.
I thought about downloading their free trial version 2, hoping it would update the PC and overlay the version 1 Designer. Then, when the free trial runs out, maybe version 2 has an uninstaller and I could get rid of the whole thing. Unfortunately, when I start thinking this way, I usually get myself in more of a mess!

Did you try using remove programs in window$? You can track down the files manually in the sys. but finding entry's in the reg. is like a needle in the hay stack and that is where the slowing comes from. (Linux doesn't use a registry and it is free)

go under the control panel, select add/remove programs, they generally populate alphabetically, when you find the program name and click on it, a "remove" button will appear over to the right

Unfortunately, this Designer program is too old for the Windows Control Panel Add/Remove program to work. Designer doesn't even show up out there as a program.
Thank you for the suggestions.

Just delete the program. I used to have it on my desktop, [XP Pro] I must have deleted it when I loaded GlassEye. Guess I took it out of the Registry too, 'cos it aint there.

I am going to delete the directory that Designer created and populated. Thank you for letting me know that worked for you.

After I deleted the directory, I also ran CCleaner, another free program, against the registry and it cleaned out the orphaned entries for American Bevel Designer.
Everything is good once again!
