Contour Fused Scope Body

Here are a couple of pictures of a scope body that I just finished the kiln work on.  The first picture is the contour fuse with the pieces flat.  The other two are after the drape and they are taped to a piece of the pipe I use for draping, I couldn't decide which picture I liked best.  I made a flat pattern on GlassEye to get the spiral to meet correctly around the body.  Now all I have to do is finish it up.

Thanks all,  I do drape (slump) over pipe.  I have three 12" pieces of 1.75" OD Stainless Steel pipe and I cover those with Thinfire paper.  I do fire all three at the same time.  The three pieces are taped to one of the pipes in two of the pictures.  The real trick is balancing the glass on top of the pipe so that it is straight, otherwise the pieces are all wonkey and the seams aren't parallel to each other.  I can get close by looking but most of the time I mark TDC top dead center of the pipe and the center of each glass section.  It can still be tricky.
