This will really sound odd coming from someone who has been doing glass so long, but: after not doing any glassing for over a year, I have evidently forgotten the tip on foiling when you come to a well pointed edge, on sun catches. I have been having a terrible time making the pointed edge look neat, not matter which way I do it.
I mean if I 45 one edge the other edge doesn't want to lay flat enough and the same happens when it square it instead and you end up with that tiny piece hanging off the edge with no way to make it stick to something. example: the upward curved edge of an angels skirt

Just fold that piece sticking out over the edge over on the other edge. When the edge is tinned, it will hold it flat and keep it in place.

...............and when it's beaded, it'll disappear.

Oh, I know it dissapears when you bead it, but it just makes me crazy when I burnish the edges of the foil and everything but that is nice and smooth
