I don't think they are allowed to put anything in a mail box. A mail box is only for U.S. post office use.

Fedupx have a postal system, I think it's call smartpost. In the case of the computer battery delivery [&itch #1] it left TN and took 2 days to get to St Louis, next Kansas City MO. then onto St Joseph..... all stopped for the weekend, I expected it to come south on Mon/Tues....... nothing..... so I chased it up. It had gone North again and was somewhere in the Dakotas or Minnesota, can't remember.
Finally someone with a brain put it into the mail system and the Mail Lady came to my door on Thurs/Friday. From Tenn. it had taken 10 working days. Then there was the 400kilo UK delivery dumped in the driveway on a Sat. morning 10mins before the St Joe office closed.......... sigh.. scroll up to Dianes' story......
