I have been reading all these posts, but not saying much.  All the stuff folks are making for the seasonal shows really looks like it should all sell well.....I have  a few shows to get ready for, too....just have not taken the time to take photos yet.....I only have one show that I do where folks actually buy Christmas stuff, and then they don't buy much....So I don't make a boatload of Christmas things, just make what I think will sell:  pigs, butterflies, hummers, hearts, and frogs....

the're very nice Joan.  You could also twist some wire around something small - like a paint brush, then pull the twists out a bit, wrap it around a broom handle so they're round - that gives you a twisted halo.  I've used it a lot and people seem to like it.

not sure I know what you mean Anne, could you post a picture of one of your halos, so I can see it.  Thanks

Great angels Joan!!
Annabelle I have to agree with you here. I have found that I sell more non holiday items as well. I try to make small things that can be used all year round as well as could be hung on the tree. This year I have some of my things in a boutique that is made up of many artists doing different crafts. The owners try to change and rotate with the seasons that is why I tried some fall and xmas themed pieces. I am making more angels as they sell year round but the others I limit, if more are needed I can always do more, but dont have to keep them  around.
Anne your halo sounds cool but not sure how it gets twisted. It sounds more curly...is that right?

I agree, but I find stars and angels seem to sell anytime.  Crosses seem to sell more during the time of the year that the little ones are making their first communion.

I'm sorry this isn't a very good pic, had to scan it, my camera seems to be mia. The top is showing what it look like before I cut it for the single halo.  If you're doing a small angel wrap it around a felt pen then just pull it 'out'. A larger halo gets wrapped around the broom handle. Does the pic help you figure out what I meant?

thanks Kev.

Right now I am working on foiling a set of candle holders done with the 3-d open center stars.  Had to spray the back of the mirror piece that goes on the bottom.  It is so stinkin humid here the spray isn't drying very fast like it usually does, so I can't foil that piece yet.

I think they will be pretty, we'll see

here are a few of the angels I have been working on.
They have great detail and originality and they will make very nice ornaments. Angeles are always a sellers best bet anytime it seems.
