I've been working in stained glass (foil type), for 1 1/2 years.  I have used the zinc U came for framing a small panel and I use the adjustable zinc U came to frame larger panels.  What exactly is the difference other than the adjustable seems sturdier?  What do you use the adjustable came for?  Your expertise is greatly appreciated. Hmmm

I'm not sure I know the product you speak of. I've used zinc came in different sizes, but not quite sure what you mean by adjustable.

I will try to be more specific, I was going to insert a drawing of them but I can't figure out how to insert a picture in this forum.

The one came is called flat u came, it's just flat zinc bent in a u shape.  The adjustable u came has flanges on the inside that kind of takes up half on the inside of the came.

In hope this helps, I am not very good at explaining it. Sorry

Ah ok....the adjustable is the only kind I have ever used, but understand now what you mean. I've only used e adjustable zinc came for framing a panel.

Yes, Graham, that's the adjustable.  Your illustration now shows me what I would use it for.  Thank you and Kev for your help.
