This is a project whose design I have been experimenting with for some time now. Here are some that are close to being finished. All are works in progress and sport Sankyo movements although my preferance is a vintage Reuge or Thorens. Movements can be changed and are not dedicated. The two "box" designs have been slumped one on the top and the other has bulged sides.(hard to see in the pic.) I collect old music boxes from yard sales and thrift stores for their movements in hopes of obtaining the vintage swiss movements, and I have quite a collection to date.

They are beautiful.  My favorite is Christmas Tree.  Is that a lighted one?

They ARE a great idea. Very smart and I would think they'd sell really quickly.

How clever!  The black with the curved top is especially classy -- keep up the great work!

Thank you all for the nice comments.

That one (you speak of) is actually very dark plum. with a dichroic amethyst cab.in the middle.  I'm trying to get better pics. in my posts but I can't seem to get it right. The ones you see here are uploaded to photo bucket first.
