What is the best way to make a first kaleidoscope. Is there a book or pattern or instructions somewhere?? Would love to make one in the future, but must have a visuals and instructions.

Scope Builder is the expert, but I have seen kits for them, so I assume some instructions come with the kit.  I have wanted to try one myself, and I will be using a kit when I do.

I figure after I do a few different kits, I (might) try one on my own.

If you are interested in parts or kits check out www.bostoncraftworks.com   There is a yahoo group known as kbkb (kaleidoscope builders knowledge base)  it is open to everyone and has tons of information.  I have a paper I wrote sometime back for a class I gave I will attach it here if I can.  Feel free to print it and use it if it makes sense to you.

Many thanks for the tutorial, Jim.   I have printed it to stash away until that mythical time when I can just sit down and concentrate!   Yet another thing on my 'bucket list'!
