Aglassact, you Should try one. Start with a simple one. They are addicting.

That they are!  Come on, people - lets see some whirls!   They're fun - and not as intimidating as they look if you follow the directions and take it one step at a time.

Anne & Kev : LOL -  I think I could have a few copy -rite issues if I were to try and write a book!   There is no doubt that Deborah Aubin was the creator of the whirl,  and her basic 6x sided 'ball' just can't be beaten (IMHO!).   I have tried different sizes,  but always come back to her dimensions - I just sometimes cut one more smaller set to take a little crystal - although I do get breakages,  especially with glue chip going so small.

Thanks again to all for the nice comments!

Elizabeth I think more people would be willing to make a whirl during the winter.
We are in a heat wave and the last thing I want to do is plug in a soldering iron.
I for one take a break from glassing in the summer, but I'd be up for another whirl
come January when I am hibernating.

Yup!  Winter it is here,  and although we don't get snow here at the coast - there has been snow at a lot of places around here on the higher ground.  (Understand that we don't get anywhere near the amounts of snow in S.A. as you get over there,  so the e-mail fwd's are buzzing with 'snow' pictures at the moment!)
Must admit that I work a lot better - at anything - in Winter.  Especially the humidity in Summer - which seems to be getting more and more each year - really knocks me out!
So!! - we can expect some whirls in Winter???? Prod

Beth, you can always do a book for the insides.  I am sure that she would allow you to mention her books when you show your whirls finished.  Write to her, can't hurt.
