Thanks, folks! I just realized you can't see what the little round thing is in the lower right part of the panel. It is a little yellow smiley face. I have photos of the the details of the piece, if anyone is interested....You are all so generouse with your comments. Glad you like my pieces.......annabelle

Wow what a wide range of subjects. Along with everyone else I love the future panel but they are all wonderful! I am very curious about the patina on the quilt pattern piece. How did you do that? If you don't mind sharing, I really like the finished look and would like to know what product and technique you used? I have a window that this would look great on.

Welllll.....When I was ready to frame the quilt panel, I found some brass U-channel I really did not know I had.....It was AWFUL..lots of tarnish and corrosion.....Then I remembered I had some silver cleaner that you dip the silver into.....I figured I had really nothing to lose, so I tried it, and it got the brass actually pretty clean...So I used it....Then realized that the solder is silver, and the frame was bright brass, so thought I would just tin the whole frame....and it did not work well...some places took the tinning really well, other places it looked lousy.....So, then I remembered I had a very old bottle of "antique brass" patina. I used a rag to rub the patina on all of the frame and solder lines....The finish came out looking almost copper in some places, and black in others, and dark brass in others.....interesting finish over all, though....I rarely EVER use patina, because it is messy to do, and my soldering is good enough that I like to look of the shiny silver lines....I do not know if the age of the patina had anything to do with the way it looks, or not....annabelle

I really like the look of the end result! Thanks for the info. I have a bottle of the antique brass patina but have never used it. Always thinking I would solder a few scrap pieces together and use it just to see what it looked like. I will have to break it out and see what it does. The whole process you did was very interesting and thanks for sharing! I would have never figured it out!

The center in the red cross is a good size glass button that I got a couple of years ago at the glass show in Vegas....I only got a very few of them...wish I had more. It almost looks like dichroic glass, and is perfect for that piece.....by the way, the first person to see the cross bought it....so may make a couple more for a show I am doing in October.....Glad you like the sfuff....annabelle

The Future panel came out fantastic and the other ones are also very nice. I would still be trying to figure out what to do. Very nice and creative.

Thanks for all the kind words.....I have a stack of patterns in my studio, and have started going from top down, doing them. But I still need to do lots of small stuff: hearts, hummers, butterflies, dragonflies....You know the stuff....for the few fall shows I plan to do.....
