Not sure where to post this.....
I have started a panel that is a rectangle of rectangles...It is being done in clear textures, blue and light gold...I am making this for a gallery exhibition called "the future"...and I will name this piece "What's Next?"....There are several pieces within this piece I want to hand engrave....but I have run out of inspiration.   Please help me with image ideas to engrave.....Thanks

Being its called the future and whats next...a peace sign, windmill and green symbols(leaves, light bulbs etc) might be appropriate.
Sounds light a cool panel!

Thanks, Folks.....The space idea is good.  My husband suggested maybe the space shuttle....and the DNA thingie....Hmmmm....need to look for that.....The images need to ge pretty small....the pieces of glass are only about 2 inches at the biggest....and the green idea is also to be considered....will research that some....Do not have a lot of time...The finished piece is to be delivered to the gallery on July 14.....All pieces cut and ground....ready to foil, engrave, and solder.....Any futher input is welcome.....annabelle

Maybe cut the glass to resemble twisted ribbon, then use fine chain as an overlay? Just making it up as I go along :)

My first thought was reaching for the stars, the space race is on again after all.

How about using a creature, such as Jothi's elephant, sequentially reduce the size of each etching to depict extinction.  Very well could be the future.

Thanks for all the GREAT ideas, Folks!  I will start narrowing down my field of images today....I might be able to use 10 images, if some of them are very small....I am going to use one that is space related, either planets or a space shuttle; Maybe a seed growing into a plant; a fetus; maybe at least one quote about the future ("There's got to be a Morning After"): maybe the recycle logo; the DNA helix......Don't have it totally pinned down, yet, so if you still have ideas to offer, the window is still open for maybe a couple of more days, max......Thanks again....You are all GREAT resources!
