Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question but here goes.
To those of you who have Etsy accts., do you use the same names here as on your Etsy acct.? I just recently opened an Etsy acct. but used a different name. I have not listed anything yet but I have sold in a couple craft shows and was wondering if it wouldn't have been a better idea to have used the same name for both? My Etsy name is the name I will use to identify my work when I sell. (http://www.etsy.com/search_results_people.php?search_query=TiffanyThis&search_submit=&search_type=people)

My own personal opinion would be to do exactly what you have done, but did you mean use the "Tiffany This" name here as well? If so, that's an easy fix.

Yes that is what I meant, but not inclined to change if this is what most do.

I'm pretty new at all of this as I have in the past done glass for personal and therapeutic reasons (gifts and relaxation) but now (as my priorities have changed) I would like to work this craft as much as I can find time for with some degree of return. It is a labor of love and find it very gratifying to be creative.

Welcome to a great glass forum :)

I opened my Etsy shop three years ago, and used the name Bella Luce Designs so I could include both glass and jewelry items.  Both have done decently well with sales, although it does take a lot of time to take the pictures, write the descriptions, and then finally post the items to sell.  I've decreased my time down to about a half an hour each item, which doesn't seem like a lot until you have a batch of items you want to put on and only have 15 minutes at a time to try and get some of them listed.  Also, Etsy recently changed their listing program to one which takes even more time and I find much more cumbersome to use -- just my opinion.

Sseveral years ago I launched my "official glass" website, www.bellalucestainedglass.com, to feature larger glass projects.  This required yet another learning curve, but does seem to provide the information potential clients are looking for.

Whatever you decide, best of luck to you, and let's see some more of your creativity!
