I know I've shown these bowls before but I recently did this one for a good customer and it became one of my favorites.  It's made from System96 cherry red and pale grey.  For those of you that haven't tried the pale grey it's a lovely soft, almost silvery color. Worked really well with the red.

That is sooo pretty!   Are they as fragile as they look?

Thanks, Beth.  It can't take alot of manhandling but it's not as fragile as it looks.  I have a friend that uses one as a fruit bowl...and she has kids!

Oh, it is realy pretty! What a great color choice Becki. I love these bowls.  The custom one you made for my friend is a fruit bowl too - she said it was the best gift she's ever received!  Kudos to you.

I also love this one. The colors are wonderful together. Think I need to get some of the pale gray.

Becki, the pictures of it are great, and from my personal knowledge, the customer and recipient are BOTH extremely pleased.  I hope to be able to visit Tampa someday and actually see it.  I am sure your next one will be just as beautiful!!!!!

 Thanks

Aw, thank you, Tom. I'm happy that the customer and recipient are pleased!  It seems I've made a zillion of these over the years but never get tired of doing them. The endless color combinations and the fact that each one is different makes them enjoyable.
The next one is in progress!

I also like your bowls.  I have a question though.   Are they slumped or draped?

Thanks, Jim.  I occasionally slump, usually when I'm making smaller bowls...most of the time they're draped.

Thank you, Linde. We worked out the color choice together.  I think it worked nicely.
