I don't know why I didn't take a picture of it before, but it was pretty beat up/bent up and rusted....
After a little metal work, and painting here is the finished product. The glass was all original when I found the light in an old garage!

Enjoy

  everyone!
The glass is blue and yellow, I will try and get a better picture of the glass tonight because I've never seen glass quite like it.
I'm still pretty new to glass work, but this glass is pretty thick? Does this mean it's older glass? Also I will try and get a picture of
the neat texture to the glass.

You've done a great job with it Joe! It may be architecural glass, it's thicker - sometimes up to 6mm. But it sounds like it might be pretty old.  There are others here that pobably do know for sure.

Nice save of the lamp.  Not my taste but nice that you saved it from the trash and curious to see the glass.  A great way to learn the how to of glass work

Thanks everyone.

Barbara, in all reality it's not quite my taste either but once I saw the glass, I had to take it and clean it up :)

Now that you saved it, if it is not your taste, what will you do with it?  Nice clean up and save job!

I have it hanging by my front door right now, it looks pretty good where it is.
I might give it to my mother too, she saw it and seemed to like it, it was just a fun little project.
