Have any of you seen the Glassmasters Peacock Stained Glass Panel on goodwill.com? They say it has the L. Tiffany marking on it. I am not interested but check it out. Now selling at a bid of $152.00 but bidding not over yet.

It's the exact one that's for sale that is listed on Glassmasters site for $66.00. I think someone thinks they are getting a Tiffany for $152.00...not in this case.

Well if they're familiar with Glassmasters they'll know it's a reproduction and since Glassmasters went out of business years ago it might be worth a little more than what it originally sold for.  If they're not familiar with Glassmasters then it wouldn't hurt to do a little research before they bid anymore!

Can you give us a better URL to find the panel??
Is this it?? http://www.stainedglassphotography.com/glassmasters/tiffany/slides/620.html.

Ah yes. Leroy "the boy" Tiffany. Not quite as well known as Louis Comfort, but a great artist in his own way.

I actually have the retired rainbow panel from the link Tod posted and it is signed "Louis C. Tiffany" in the bottom right corner so I can see how someone unfamiliar with Glassmasters would think they had something special...

having done some work creating ebay auctions for a local center with the same mission as goodwill, they are probably clueless about what they have...

This is good entertainment; I do hope the bidders are not fooled. "Buyer beware" is the day's motto, I think.

I'm sure this audience knows that this is not real leaded glass but some sort of black lines printed and filled with enamel colors. It is fired to enamel temps. It would be nearly impossible, of course, to even make a piece like this with lead or foil; several hunderd pieces in a panel slightly larger than a piece of notebook paper! Still, a good education & diversion. - Tod

Sorry guy but after I posted about this I went out of town and just got back. I did not even know how much the winning bid was on it but I have watched things like this go for waaaaaay more than they should on the goodwill site. I thought it would be fun to see just how high someone would bid.  I do hope the person who got it is happy at $377.00 WOW!!!
