Since I haven't done stained glass in 8 months, the glass room became a catch all room - its a total mess and I'm not allowed in there until Rick and Chrissy get it cleaned up.  So I took a couple of pictures before the battery went dead so you could see what they are facing.  I would love to rush/push them to get it straight but they have done so much for me already, I'll wait on them.  But I am really itching to start back.

I also have about 10 boxes of items that I picked up from my local glass shop that I had on consignment.   Michael is moving (he's not sure where) so for the time being everyone has their items back.  So I will need to find a place for them.  I'm thinking of having a yard sale but husband isn't keen on strangers driving around the house, etc - so I'm thinking of renting a table at a flea market for a Saturday and price everything to sell.  The extra money would help with some of the medical bills and even give me some money to buy new supplies (hopefully).  Got sick last year before all the shows that I had signed up for so I have a lot of inventory.

The place across the street from Michael is out?

Wish I had a show coming up, I would take some of your items.

Mike is still negotiating - but he is really leaning towards that place - but this weekend (Saturday) he has a show in Urbanna - Art of a Half Shell, so that's been his main focus lately.

Thanks for the offer to show my stuff - I'll eventually work something out, just not doing any shows.  I also let my business license go as of the end of December.  Needed to save money on the business insurance and business license.  I can reinstate within 2 years and not lose the name Black Jack Stained Glass - so we will have to wait and see how life turns out..lol

Started cleaning up the room - needs so much more work done but you can see progress.  I told my husband last night that if I don't start doing glass real soon, I'm going to weigh a ton in no time at all.  Love cooking, but I have not been diet conscience at all - lots of butter, sugar, etc -and the pounds are just adding up.
Did order from Delphi and Glass Crafters some items - 3 glass stands that hold up to 45 sq ft of glass each - that should help get some of the glass off the floor and against table legs and up on a table - but was bad and ordered some more glass..lol..
Also ordered drill bits - finally get to use my drill press since I will now have a place for it.  Everything should be here Wednesday - so hopefully by the weekend the room will be ready.  Of course, w are going out of town this weekend, so will have to wait until next week.

That's great Evelyn.  Will be therapeutic and dieting all in one when you are in the glass room finally.

Evelyn, your glass room looks like mine.  When we had the all the rooms painted the over flow of all the odds and ends of stuff ended up in my glass room.  In addition to that I had 4 yrs of paper work copies from the Association while I was President, stored in the glass room.  Those papers are now going to the shreader at the development office, Thank God.

My MS has been controlling my life for to long and I can't wait to get back to the glass too.

So I know exactly how you feel.  And what a wonderful feeling it is Dear.

Joan,
Being controlled by an illness is tough - some days are good and others aren't.  I've been very fortunate lately, in the last month I have felt absolutely wonderful - no complaints what so ever, so its been great and I don't feel so dependent on Rick and Chrissy.  But there was a time that all I felt like doing was sleeping, I would be exhausted just walking from one room to another.  So I'm taking advantage of feeling good and gonna work on some stained glass very soon!

Evelyn, it is great to hear you have been feeling well. Don't over do so you will stay that way. At least glass work shouldn't be too taxing.

Audrey,
You sound just like my husband...lol...but I appreciate your concern.  I have come a long way so don't want to go backwards.  But I am looking so forward to doing glass again - at one time I didn't think I would ever be doing glass again and that was depressing.

Here's a couple of updated pictures of what little progress we have made, but mainly the problems still facing us.

you definitely have my sympathy... I wouldn't even know where to begin :-) but with your upbeat attitude, you'll have the room ready in no time

as far as ordering more glass, you couldn't help it, it's what we do -- I just ordered 20+ quarter sheets knowing I was going back to work full time and haven't had a chance to start a project since -- it will be there when I need it just like yours will :-)

It is an addiction...besides grocery shopping, glass shopping is my favorite thing to do...all other shopping I have no interest in - but get out of my way when dealing with glass...lol
