I tried a new schedule out as old one needed tweaking. I like the results but thought it would slump more than it did. I used Kev's schedule and just programmed in a hold time of 45 min at slump where he said till desired result.  Everything else was the same.
I do like it because just used ramdom SCRAP piecies on top and clear base.

There were a few small air bubbles but nothing to worry about. The edges had an almost scalloped finish that I did not try for but liked when finished. You can see both of these things in the pic. Just used a plain round drop ring mold.
Note to myself...must find a better place to take pic so my shadow not in it..LOL

I've not tried a drop ring slump, but I would assume it would take much longer then just slumping into a mold. Also, the thicker the glass your trying to drop through the ring, the further it will drop and faster too.

Did you use all Spectrum 96 glass for this? I like the look of it and the colors are great.

Yes, it is all Spectrum 96 glass. I had the scraps left over from some other projects and wanted to us them up. I cut clear circle then stacked the scrap ramdonly on top using some clear, red, amber and little white. Then I also put another layer of random clear on top of all that. Fired to a full fuse then slumped into the mold. I think the random placement created a few spots where the air could not completely get out thus a few smaller air bubbles were created. At this point I am just happy it came out looking this good.
I think it will need a longer hold time at slump but everything else is OK. I even have an annealing time in this one.LOL
I have not tried slumping into a mold yet but have one I am looking forward to using sooooon.

What a cool piece -- reminds me of the curly ribbon candy we used to get at Christmastime!

It's very pretty.  Looks like confetti glass. You can float a candle in there, a great size for it.
