with mosaics unless it's little square pieces of glass! This laundry project is almost a complete recycle, the old maple cupboards came from the kitchen, the knobs from the kitchen before that! Tiles are leftovers from various projects in two houses. I smashed as little as possible as the 'subway' offcuts seemed so workable. The plywood and green board base to the counter top are the remainder from the bathroom shower repair. The faucet is new, the sink a dinted $5 find, a Franke no less! One thing I did not find is my mojo, I hate to toss good usable stuff so this was just thrift tapping on my shoulder! The shower base will also be a leftover project but the tile saw did not come with me so will have to wait until next Winter. I finished grouting today but the battery died in the camera. I know this ain't glass but it's very much an up cycle, you would agree had I remembered to take a photo of the old laundry! It fell apart readily and galloped to the burn pile in short order.

Wow! I think that looks great!! I've only tiled a few mosaic projects. To me, it is a lot of work, but very rewarding after the grout phase. Love the subway tiles mixed with the others. Wonderful job!

Thanks everyone, it's been a pain but I just couldn't throw all that tile away! Finally got over to the house with a charged camera and sealer. Now it is done!

Dunno, but I do know I ain't gonna spend another Winter in Kansas! I might invite a few frozen bodies down for a mosaics seminar! Stained glass an option! The workshop is 24x48 with plenty of parking and free oranges for breakfast!
